I just recently learned that good quality tools are a big deal, you just cannot buy a tool from a dollar store and expect it to continue working the way it was when you first got it, especially after a few years of wear and tare. That is how I feel when picking a chainsaw, cutting down wood is not an easy task you just cannot take an axe these days and expect for a tree to timber in a matter of minutes. A chainsaw will get the job done faster, for instance the Husqvarna 455 Rancher. This chainsaw is like the Bentley compared to a Mercedes, I know you’re like no way you are over exaggerating it but I assure you that I am not. It is an excellent chainsaw to have for years to come.
The Husqvarna 455 Ranger has many features that will cut some of the time back from your regular duties. It has an air filter, spark plug and clutch housing. Very easy equipment to use, on average it will cut through wood like a piece of cake. Indeed it is a piece of cake when using it, no need to pass out from doing such labor. The equipment that most people use that do not know where to shop, pick equipment that are not up to standards.
The features on the Husqvarna 455 Ranger 20-inch is exceptional, the air purge allows for you to start it up without too much effort. The engine and starter starts quickly without having to pull a thousand times to get it going. The transparent fuel tank is a no brainer for checking the fuel level. Resistance in the starter cord is minimized by up to 40%. The vibrations are to a minimum to reduce the risk of you getting weak so quickly.
The Husqvarna 455 Ranger 20-inch is good for the homeowner, landowner, and commercial. For homeowners this will allow you to easily get things done without having to call a big company to get it done for you. It will make you feel like you are the big company yourself. Landowners can get that contract job done. Satisfy your customers or employer with this magnificent machinery. Once they are satisfied then you are too, knowing that you completed your task in a timely fashion. This saw is a very big deal when working in the commercial business, there is more demand and jobs to be done. This chainsaw will get it done on a daily basis.
This machine will last for a long time as long as you take care of it. Its almost like a car, keep the maintenance up and there should be little problems to deal with but overall it will not be a major problem that will get in the way of your job. For lumber jacks it is highly recommended that this product is purchased when choosing a quality piece of machinery. Get your monies worth with the Husqvarna 455 Ranger 20-inch it is worth it.

This will be my second full season using my 455 Rancher. We've been having a huge problem here in Colorado with pine beetle infestations of lodgepole pine trees. I been for a while felling and bucking pine for firewood. I have been putting in about 15 hours per week using my Husky saw. It has performed awesome. The cutting I had been performing is actually at 9000 feet elevation and still at this height the saw has got enough power for what I have been cutting. A lot of the trees I 've been cutting down are 12" to 24" in diameter.
The single negative issues I have run across can be retraced easily back to the operator of the chainsaw (me!) . The greatest setback I have got is that I filed way too much off of the chain rakers. At that point the saw was no more cutting, but tearing through the wood. I filed the teeth hard and that trouble was resolved. The carburetor adjustment has a little learning, but is fairly simple once you get the process ironed out (learned) in your mind.
At 9000 feet I am able to get it to run sufficiently rich to be able to prevent engine damage, yet still not smoke much if at all during operation. The last tree I fell down was 22" DBH and approx 110 feet tall. I cut down the tree and bucked it into 18" lengths for firewood in about 1.5 hours. I cut all of the tree down to 2" in diameter for heating wood. Not bad at all.
Conclusion : If you are a serious land-owner user I would certainly not pause to purchase this saw. It can, mow through some serious firewood in a good amount of time.

My 13 year old son - right after a couple of lessons on being a man - fired up the chainsaw - on his own - and operated it with no troubles. He ate through a chord of wood, under grownup supervision naturally, before we halted to clean it up for the subsequent chord.
Those who are stalling the chainsaw - it's likely your technique - any chainsaw can be caused to stall out. Relax, hold the blade straight and allow the saw perform the work. When you have to force it, your blade is either dull or you need to adjust tension or practice more at holding the blade straight. A loose chain may whip against the entry and slow down the engine - produces a large amount of resistance and forces the engine to work harder - that can cause all kinds of damage. The Husqvarna 455 saves you that harm and costly repairs by terminating on queue. So supposing your saw is shutting down often - consider tightening the chain.
For the most part, this chain saw is hardcore! .
